Kings, Parades, and a Princess

Yesterday, Independence Day in Belgium, a new king was sworn in and there were loads of festivities to celebrate. We went down to Parc Brussels to watch everyone wearing their red, yellow, and black and also to see if we could catch a glimpse of the king, and we did! Leading the military parade the king passed right by us wearing his military uniform! Morgan had a front row seat and a lift from daddy. When we asked her what she thought she said, “Hey, I thought kings were supposed to wear crowns and capes? And where was the queen?” Never fear, we found a princess balloon amongst the bounce houses, train rides, and carousels all set up in the park for the event. Princess Morgan loved this royal event!
