Today we hopped on a train and visited the lovely city of Brugges in the Flemish Region of Belgium. This midieval city is full of charm and I enjoyed it almost as much as when I visited five years ago … Continue reading
It’s Friday! We are looking forward to our weekly ritual of European style gluttony at the neighborhood farmers market tonight; stuffing ourselves with olives, goat cheese, charcuterie, fresh baguette, Nutella crepes, and Morgan’s choice of bon-bons from the candy vendor. We celebrated Father’s Day this weekend by hopping on the metro and venturing outside of the city center to visit Cook and Book, a cute and eclectic little book store with various dining options throughout. The weather was nice so we ate outside next to the playground, which occupied Morgan for the duration of our meal (always a good thing). On Sunday morning, Morgan put on her apron and helped make a special breakfast for Father’s Day, which was followed by a picnic at Parc Cinquantenaire. We took turns watching the kids at the playground while we each went for a jog on the running path around the park – what a treat!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, especially ours, he’s the best!

Maybe we are still in the honeymoon phase with our new city, but so far Brussels has rolled out the red carpet for us since we arrived, nearly two weeks ago already! The weather has been perfect (which we know … Continue reading
